I was introduced to homeopathy during my doctoral degree training and used it sporadically over the first 12 years of my practice. In the past five years, however, I have become a dedicated homeopathic student and have greatly expanded my knowledge on these beneficial medicines and their use. Having an other reference to share with patients would be fantastic!
I was first introduced by a photographer through my son's high school but rarely used. Then an acquaintance who invited me to come to a study group meeting. From that point on I became a avid user. Homeopathy is my go to before taking any meds and treating everyday ailments.
I discovered homeopathy several years ago while listening to a random heath podcast but never really looked into it until now . Now I feel time is right to finally learn more in depth!
I’m currently a practicing Homoeopath. My grandfather took up homeopathy as a hobby, and used it very successfully to treat his family. When I was 8 years old I started having migraines. Allopathy recommended life long dependence on painkillers. My grandfather treated me and it’s no longer a problem. My interest in homeopathy started there. Fast forward to today, I have completed my education in homeopathy, and am now practicing.
I discovered homeopathy very much on accident and I didn't think it could possibly help me. I listened to some "healing autistic kids" type of podcasts and homeopathy was mentioned multiple times (I have a child who has health issues, not autism, but the autism moms are very well organized!). I had tried many supplements to fix my digestive problems. Very much thought I knew more about my digestive troubles than any doctor I could find, which was true in terms of allopathic doctors. On a lark I went to see the homeopath in my town. And then I went back and then I went back again. I think I only saw her 4 times over 9 months. Well, she was the answer to my prayers. She healed my gut with 4 remedies. 4! After years of trouble.
Well that's only the start of my story but there you have it!
It was half a lifetime ago when my interest (and later passion) was first sparked in exploring homeopathy in a desperate bid to resolve a years-long skin allergy that apparently popped out of nowhere - strangely, the day after I gave up smoking - and plagued me for years with daily eruptions of an urticaria that could only be calmed with a very strong anti-histamine.
I sought treatment everywhere, GPs, Harley St. specialists, the Pasteur Institute (via a relative working there), naturopaths, acupuncturists. The chief allergy specialist at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington even proposed I might try getting pregnant again - my kids were already teenagers and I was in the middle of an ecology degree..... I wondered what if his solution didn't work!!!!
Then someone suggested homeopathy - over a period of many months I tried various recommended homeopathic doctors. None of their remedies worked but by then I was convinced by the natural "logic" of homeopathy from the many books I'd read and eventually concluded that the problem was the actual homeopaths I consulted were not listening attentively enough, as their remedy prescriptions didn't appropriately match the key symptoms described in the Repertory. So I set myself the task of narrowing down all the possibilities and eventually found one that seemed a very good match. I took it in a low dose (6x) one night and was astonished that the next day, the allergy was 70% better but not completely cured. A friend then suggested I consult with one of the most renowned homeopaths at the time......after talking with him, he said you've probably got the correct remedy but the wrong dose: "Take it in 200c" . Which I did. The next day, the allergy I'd had daily for 10 years disappeared and never returned.
Astonishingly, none of the allopathic doctors I've told this story to since has shown the slightest interest in it and I'd guess probably thought it was "the placebo effect" that did it!
I am only starting to develop an interest in it. I'd love to win the lottery but I will probably buy the book anyway. What a work of love Marcus Fernandez gave us.
You know, I never looked into it but I knew that it worked but now I find it immensely interesting. I notice the courses are set in English pounds. Do you cater for USD? Looking at your complaints policy and other pages, your college sounds very fair. It sounds well and truly above and beyond, however I think it could go a little further and more challenging like having a database of the complains so anyone could see a history and improvements or backward slides. I personally think that everything should go public and think we ought to get away from boards or committees or anything that decides for the whole. We have the tech now to see EXACTLY how many want a, b, or c. We're just not utilizing a system for it yet. It also teaches each one to behave in the peer-to-peer way where no one has jurisdiction. Just new ways of interacting, the ways of the sovereign. Rather than one party setting all the terms everything would be decided by simple statistics that would eventually become how a person's performance is evaluated.
I love homeopathy! I came across Phytolacca when as a nursing mother I had a breast infection (which we all know is a sentence for immediate antibiotics.) I took Phytolacca and not only did the infection go away, it removed my body’s propensity to have any more! Even through 4 more nursing babies! I was hooked! I have seen the correct remedy completely silence a croupy cough after one dose. “Miracle pills” my family calls them.
I had heard of homeopathy years ago but never utilized it for myself. I have definitely been into seeking alternative health solutions rather than relying on conventional health resources. I've been to nutritionists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, etc. My cousin convinced me to look into homeopathy a year ago and I was hooked right away. I have started taking classes, reading, watching videos and listening to podcasts to learn as much as I can. I want to be able to use it to help family and friends and anyone else who is open to this safe and effective method of healing. I hope more and more people will have their eyes opened.
I love Homeopathy! I started using Homeopathy after I became very sick taking a prescription medication.
Homeopathy has healed my family of strep throat, UTIs, prostatitis, lower back pain, arthritis, shingles, leg cramps, menstrual issues, flu, sprains, canker sores, and vertigo.
I am so thankful to be able to help family and friends heal without depending on antibiotics and other medications with adverse side effects.
I'm looking at their foundational course and they need reasons for students missing classes. I think what would be better would be if they just set a criteria using a simple percentage -which is determined by the ratio of days attended to days not attended and let the student stand on their own two feet by taking responsibility. That ratio would enable a standard to be easily stated and to give a very accurate history. The school could decide the criteria. This way nobody has to feel belittled answering to the inquisitor.

An old boyfriend told me about it and the more I learned I fell in love - not with him but homeopathy! lol!

How did you discover homeopathy?

I have no affiliation with any schools or anything else. I am simply a certified homeopath who writes a blog about homeopathy.
Oh that was the author of the book. I equated it with you. Sorry.
no worries.
Ooooh! I want this book!

This book sounds amazing…I would love to own it!

Hmmm. I think this comment was meant for a different thread. 🧐
It's a bit "esoteric" but it was meant for the college of homeopathy.
